Mrrrooow!
August 16th, 2009
*Drum roll please*
Here is my first knit project! I didn’t post her, because I had yet to figure out how I wanted to do her face. I was sorting though my ‘craft closet’ (it is a wardrobe with tools, extra linens and craft supplies) and I saw that I had pink, black-brown and light grey felting wool, and some needles for needle felting. I decided to see if I could needle felt onto acrylic, and it worked!!
I am so incredibly happy how this pattern came out. So much cuteness for so little effort!

That cute little nose is needle felted? Onto acrylic? Who knew? Turned out so well and has definite personality.
That is absolutely awesome! Love the expression and the heart nose!
Your kitty turned out terrific. I can’t believe it’s your first knitting project. I’m trying to get up the courage to knit something. I know the very basic knit and purl stitches and that’s it. I’m pretty sure my first project won’t be nearly as good as this! lol.
Ack! My daughter loves cats, and this is hands down the cutest pattern I have seen yet. Must not get distracted from Christmas gift making, but maybe I could whip one up for her stocking… I can see this blog is going to get this elf into trouble
